10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting A Blog - SubTechz

1. Choose the Best Blogging Platform.

The First step is to choose the best blogging platform that is easy to use, flexible, and has all the tools you'll need as you grow.

Here are the 3 popular blogging Platforms which is to be considered.

 Wordpress.org

  • Customizability: WordPress.org provides a wide range of customization and flexibility. You can choose from millions of themes and plugins to create a website or blog of your choice.
  • Control: You get full control of your blog including hosting and domain, which means you are responsible for updates and security of your blog.
  • Best for: For those who want complete control over their blog's design, customizability, and functionality and are comfortable with technical aspects of website management, WordPress is the best choice.

 Blogger

  • Simplicity: Blogger is owned by Google and offers an easy-to-use interface with fewer customizations.
  • Limited Customizations: There are customization options available but they are limited and much less than Wordpress.org
  • Hosting: Blogger hosts your blog for free, but you'll have a "blogspot.com" sub-domain unless you buy a custom domain which comes around roughly $10 or 800-1000 Rupees per annum.
  • Best For: If you're just starting out with blogging or don't want a platform that's too complicated, this one's perfect for you. It's simple and straightforward without all the fancy extras.

Wix

  • User-Friendly: Wix.com is popular for its drag-and-drop website-building feature, which makes it easy for beginners to use.
  • Design Templates: It offers a variety of visually appealing templates or themes to choose from.
  • Hosted Platform: Wix.com takes care of hosting and security, so you don't need to stress about those details. It's a great option for anyone who wants convenience and ease of use.
  • Customization: While less customizable than WordPress.org, Wix still provides a good balance of design flexibility.
  • Best For: For beginners who want a user-friendly platform with customizable options that require minimal technical knowledge.
My Personal view is that You can Choose Blogger if you just want to start without any investment and later on shift to Word press.
